This is my nineteenth year teaching at the Hershey Elementary School. I taught fifth grade for eighteen years, and I am looking forward to another great year as a second grade teacher.
I grew up in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, located approximately one hour north of Hershey. My parents continue to live there, and I enjoy visiting them. I have one older brother who is retired from the air force. He lives in Ohio.
I graduated in 2000 from Elizabethtown College. I majored in Elementary Education with a minor in mathematics. I graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 2003 with a Master's degree in Science Education. I then completed Master's degrees from Wilkes University in Educational Development & Strategies, Classroom Technology, and Educational Leadership with a K-12 Principal Certification.
I live in Palmyra with my family. I have a son--Carter who was born in April 2018.
I enjoyed spending the summer with my family and friends at Hershey Bears hockey games, Hershey Park, Lake Tobias, Harrisburg Senators baseball games, the National Aquarium in Baltimore, the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, and going to the movies. I look forward to hearing about your summer vacation during our first week of school.
I intend to work very hard to make second grade memorable for you! Let's have a wonderful year together!
