Derry Township School District is excited to be able to partner with Junior Achievement this year to bring real-world education, including business ownership, finances, and personal spending into our elementary school. The program is age-appropriate, engaging, and FUN! We are seeking volunteers to visit 2nd and 3rd Grade classrooms and support this Junior Achievement experience. Tickets for the HHS Theatre musical, Cole Porter’s "Anything Goes", are available for online purchase now. There will be three showings, March 1-3. To learn more about the show and to reserve your seats, simply click the graphic.
Pre-registration for Derry Township children who will be 5 years of age before September 1, 2019 and plan to attend kindergarten this coming fall is NOW OPEN. Click the graphic for additional information and to begin the online pre-registration process. Remember: The online pre-registration does not complete the enrollment process; parents and guardians should also plan to complete registration during sessions held at the Early Childhood Center.
All schools in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, including DTSD, have adopted use of the “Safe2Say Something” anonymous tip line as a means of improving campus safety and improving school climate. The tip line is operated and monitored 24/7 by the Office of the Attorney General where tips are reviewed, classified, and forwarded to the appropriate school district. Tips that are found to contain information that may indicate a "life safety" issue are immediately forwarded to the appropriate county emergency dispatch center. Click the graphic for additional information.
The PA Department of Education has launched its new “Future Ready PA Index” with a dashboard that allows for a look at how Pennsylvania schools – including those here in DTSD - are educating students. In addition to proficiency, the dashboard illustrates growth, achievement, and other data by student group - such as economically disadvantaged students, English Learners, students receiving special education services, and racial and ethnic groups.
