Institutional Apple IDs for 7th & 8th Grade Students
Seventh and Eighth grade middle school students will be participating in a one-to-one iPad initiative, and creating an Apple ID will allow them to download apps and other educational content. The District email will allow students to set up an institutional apple ID, validate certain applications, and serve as a form of communication.  Parents of 7th and 8th Grade students should have received an email from Apple with steps for setting up a school or institutional Apple ID using their school email account. This allows us to offer Apple IDs to those students under the age of 13 and still provide protection and control in compliance with Child Online Privacy & Protection Act (COPPA).  The creation of institutional Apple IDs is encouraged but voluntary. If you received TWO emails from Apple, we apologize for any added confusion as the letter was mistakenly sent out twice. If you chose to participate and set up an institutional apple ID for your student please use the most recent email from Apple dated 8/5/14.
