Course Selection Process

In preparation for the 2017-2018 school year, Derry Township School District students currently in grades 8 through 11 will submit their course requests through the Home Access Center (HAC). Teachers will make course recommendations for their students. Between February 22 and February 27, students will submit their course requests electronically through HAC. (NOTE: Course requests can only be added through the student's HAC. Course requests can be viewed, but not added through the parent's HAC.) Students will not be able to submit course requests online after February 27. 
 
All requests made during the enrollment period will be given equal consideration. Links to the Educational Planning Guide, the course selection forms, the written directions to submit course requests online, and video clips demonstrating the process to submit course requests through HAC are posted below. 
 
Parents are encouraged to review student selections in HAC prior to the February 27 deadline.

NOTE:  Courses with Bld on the end are courses that are offered as Blended courses as well as everyday face to face course (ie. For 432Bld Spanish II, you can choose either 432 = the everyday course or 432BLD = the Blended course when you make your course selection in HAC.)

Course Change Request Form 
The deadline to submit a Summer Course Change Request Form has passed. The next time opportunity students will have to request a course change will be the first four days of the school year. The Course Change Request Form will be available for download from this site on Monday, 8/28; paper copies will also be available in the high school counseling office on that date. The deadline for submitting a Course Change Request Form is the end of day, Thursday, 8/31/17.
