Distribution of Materials from Outside Organizations: In order to preserve instructional time and reduce paper consumption, the district discourages sending external event/activity fliers home with students. The district, will review such requests and potentially allow material to be posted online or - in rare instances - to be sent home with students. Requests to distribute information on community events (either online or in printed form) must be directed to the office of the Superintendent of Schools. Requests should be submitted no later than 2 weeks prior to the event. Requests should be limited to events with a clear educational benefit for district students. The district reserves all rights to determine the suitability of events for publication. Advertisement of for-profit business, programs or events will not be approved. In those instances where the district grants permission for the distribution of printed materials, the sponsoring organization is then responsible for the printing of materials, collating the proper number of bundled packaged for each homeroom and delivering them to the respective school offices.
