To make the transition from one school level to the next a smooth one, Derry Township School District is offering “Bridge Day” – a new orientation event for rising 6th and 9th Graders. The programs will take place on Wednesday, August 22, from 7:30 to 10:10 a.m. Running much like an abbreviated school day, Bridge Day provides participants with an opportunity to meet their teachers & classmates, access lockers, run through class schedules and even become familiar with the food court.

Derry Township School District has partnered with a company called ZippSlip to reduce the amount of printed paperwork sent home to parents/guardians in the upcoming school year. ZippSlip will also allow the district to better facilitate forms communications with features such as the ability to accept electronic signatures on documents. In the coming days, families of currently enrolled DTSD students will be receiving more detailed information about ZippSlip and their account credentials.
