In order to provide a more streamlined process for families to report students who are symptomatic or have tested positive for COVID-19, we have updated our attendance and reporting procedures.
DTSD would like to invite Derry Township parents and residents to participate in a round table discussion between the community and our superintendent, Dr. Winslow. This will be a series of open forums to discuss important topics surrounding the community and school district. The first in this series will be regarding school start times. It will be held virtually, via Zoom. Join us on virtually Monday, November 1st at 9:00 a.m. Click for link to register.
Hershey Elementary School is a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School. This is given through the U.S. Department of Education and recognizes our school for their overall academic performance and progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. The coveted National Blue Ribbon Schools award affirms the hard work of educators, families and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content.
DTSD is very excited to welcome students back into our buildings for a full in-person, five-day-a-week learning environment in August of 2021. Our COVID-related information has been relocated to it own dedicated section on our homepage labeled "COVID-19 Information 2021-2022".
