My name is Mrs. O’Brien, and I teach English Language Arts on Team Twister. I am proud to say that I am a Hershey graduate, and this is my tenth year teaching at Hershey Middle School.

I graduated from Messiah College and taught 5^th grade in the Northern York County School District in Dillsburg for three years before coming to Derry Township. In the summer of 2013, I completed my Master’s of Literacy Degree at Penn State Harrisburg. I am a certified Reading Specialist. 

I live in Hershey with my husband, two adult stepdaughters, and my four-year-old son. We have a miniature poodle named Daisy and a West Highland Terrier named Sagan (after Carl Sagan). I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, nature watching, hiking, kayaking, and learning more about teaching.
