  • All Instruction Online 11/13 - 11/30

    In response to an increased number of positive COVID-19 cases, presumed positive cases and close contacts requiring quarantine on our campus, we have consulted with the PA Department of Health and are making the move to an online learning environment. Beginning Friday, November 13 through Monday November 30, all instruction will be conducted online. Duing the time classes are being conducted completely online, no in-person student activities or extra-curricular events will be held.

  • HHS Theatre Offers "Christmas Carol" Online

    Can’t go out right now for family entertainment? Don’t worry – Hershey High School Theatre will bring it to you! HHS Theatre has transformed its traditional fall play - “A Christmas Carol: a Live Radio Play” - into a streaming event your family can watch online. The show will be offered via livestream three times: Friday, November 20 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, November 21 at 7 p.m. and a special encore Friday, December 18 at 7 p.m. Click the headline for ordering information.

  • End of November Schedule

    There will be no online classes for students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade on Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24 to allow for parent-teacher conferences. There will be no online classes for all students, K-12, on Wednesday, November 25 through Friday, November 27 for Thanksgiving Recess. All schools and offices (including the District Office) will be closed during that recess. All students will be fully online when classes resume November 30 with hybrid instruction expected to resume Dec. 1.

  • COVID-19 Updates and Information

    As part of its COVID-19 mitigation efforts, Derry Township School District is currently operating under a hybrid instructional model that includes staggered in-person and online instruction for secondary students and half-day in-person sessions for elementary students. With the well-being of students and staff at the forefront and taking into consideration PA Departments of Education and Health guidelines, the district is also planning for multiple contingencies that will allow it to continue with a robust educational experience.

    The program of studies of the Hershey High School
    is planned to meet the needs of the youth of the Derry Township School District. A major task of the school is to accommodate learners with divergent needs, goals, capabilities and interests. To this end, an effort is made to nurture individual skills and to satisfy individual needs.
    It is also the responsibility of the school to furnish opportunities for students to participate in cultural activities that may otherwise not be available to them. Extracurricular and enrichment programs are offered to satisfy this aspect.
     

    Hershey High School was built in 1996 and expanded in 2007. The facility is 231,000 square feet, has a card access system; phone/television/internet access in all classrooms; auditorium seating for 1,300; two CAD labs; classrooms for family and consumer sciences; full gym, weight and cardio exercise rooms;
    full band and orchestra/chorus rooms; three art rooms; closed circuit television capacity; a production office and library/media center.

    Online registration for student parking passes at Hershey High School is now open. Juniors and seniors wishing to park on campus must carefully review the “Student Driver Rules and Regulations Agreement” document that is linked on the parking registration site for complete parking information. Eligible and registered juniors and seniors will be assigned a numbered tag (for the lower lots or Pebble Beach), but not a numbered spot. 

    NOTE: You will be required to sign in to Google using your Derry Township student credentials in order to register.
