    Information from PHEAA regarding paying for your education after high school:

    Presented by PHEAA:  Covering the Gap: Pieces of the Puzzle to Help Pay Your Education Bill
    Since this is the season when families focus on how they will cover education costs, they may be looking for additional information.  PHEAA, represented by Linda Pacewicz and Daniel Wray of PA Forward, is offering a series of one-hour webinars on the topic of Covering the Gap.  These webinars emphasize best practices (such as seeking grants and scholarships first), reminds families about additional resources (such as payment plans), and touch on private/alternative loans as a last resort.  The discussion will also include the basics of credit:  what is a credit score, what factors impact a credit score, how can a credit score be improved, etc.  Please register below for one or more of these informative presentations and have your questions answered.

    FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid

    The FAFSA is the key to accessing most financial aid for college. Link to FAFSA website
    • The FAFSA can be completed after October 1.
    • For the Pennsylvania State Grant, the deadline is May 1 for degree programs
    • IMPORTANT! Even if you miss a deadline, still complete and submit the FAFSA. There may be possbility of late awards.

    The FAFSA website provides a checklist for each grade level. These checklists are helpful for both students and parents, no matter where you are in the college application process. You can also visit FAFSA's FAQ section to answer any additional questions you may have.

    Financial Aid Night

    Feeling anxious about the college process and how financial aid can play a part? You are not the only one. We will have a representative from the financial aid office at Lebanon Valley College come present important information that will be helpful to you and your student.

    CSS Profile

    The CSS (College Scholarship Service) Profile, is an online application created by College Board that allows college students to apply for non-federal financial aid. It is used by private colleges and universities to determine your eligibility for non-government financial aid, such as grants, loans, and scholarships. The College Board lists all the schools and scholarship programs that require the CSS Profile.

    Senior Scholarship Application 2020: Students can apply for a variety of scholarships through our Senior Scholarship Application. The deadline for the application is Sunday March 1, 2020 at 11:59 pm. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. VanZant in the counseling office.
