• UNIT ONE
    THE SECOND INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION
     
    Our first historic unit of study is the Second Industrial Revolution.  Throughout the course of this unit students will be introduced to a time in American history when invention and innovation led to rapid technological advancement in our society.  Through the use of primary source documents, film footage, power point presentations, historic simulations, class notes and lecture the students will gain a comprehensive perspective of this segment of American history.  The students will be introduced to people such as Andrew Carnegie, John D. Rockefeller, Samuel Gompers and inventions such as the airplane, Bessemer Converter and the telephone during the course of this unit.  Study along with your sons and daughters to discover more about these exciting days of yore.
