Received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Illinois.
Received his Masters Degree from Columbia University.
Started at Derry Township in 1930.
At Derry Township he taught Health and Phys. Ed. He coached football, basketball, wrestling, golf, tennis, track, baseball, and cross country.
Founded the "Hershey High Varsity H Club."
Coached interscholastic cross country from 1963, the year of its inception, until his retirement in 1971 (there was a cross country award named in his honor).
March 1940, he was elected president of the newly formed Central Pennsylvania Scholastic Golf Association.
March 1950, he was elected a member of the steering committee for the Athletic Association of Hershey.
January 1954, he was reelected president of Central Pennsylvania Scholastic Baseball League.
March 1970, he received a plaque recognizing his 40 years as Athletic Director and for his creation of the Varsity H Club.
May 19, 1971, he received an award from the Hershey Lions Club for his years of involvement in school athletics.
Hershey's first and only State Championship Baseball team.
They competed in the largest High School size state grouping, which was AAA. That particular team only had 2 seniors, and the rest of the team was made up of Underclassmen, which gave hope for a bright future.
This team won the last CAC championship with a record of 16-2. Going into District play they upset Chambersburg and ended up finishing runner-up in the District 3 playoffs. They then went on to the State playoffs and won an additional 4 games to make it to the Championship game where they defeated Pittsburgh Langley 5-4 in 8 innings.
