Vision & Mission Statement

Mission Statement: 

As a partner in the educational process, and to support the School District’s mission, DTSD Food Service strives to provide nutritious food selections while promoting lifelong eating habits.  We ensure all students have access to our nutritious, tasty, and affordable meals which are prepared and served by our caring food service professionals in a welcoming environment. 

Vision Statement:

DTSD Food Service believes the cafeteria is also a classroom and our food service professionals are valuable teachers of food literacy. In the cafeteria, we do more than prepare and serve meals. We educate students about the origins of their food, model expected behaviors and manners, and demonstrate how good nutrition can affect academic and athletic performance. We serve education every day and aim to prepare every student to succeed in a diverse world.
