Attendance Guidelines for Illness

When to Keep Your Child Home from School

To ensure the health and safety of all students, please follow these guidelines when deciding if your child should attend school:

  • Fever: Students must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication before returning to school.
  • Bacterial Infections: If being treated for a bacterial infection (e.g., strep throat, pink eye, impetigo), students should complete 24 hours of antibiotics before coming back to school.
  • Vomiting or Diarrhea: Students should stay home until vomiting or diarrhea has stopped.

By adhering to these guidelines, we can help keep our school community healthy and thriving.
