Technology Department
The Derry Township School District is committed to using technology to improve student achievement, staff performance, and parental involvement by equipping students to be responsible 21st century electronic citizens who understand ethical, cultural, and societal issues in a digital world.
Since August 2021, all Derry Township School District students are issued a school purchased iPad for use during the school day. The term 1:1 comes from the idea that every student has their own personal iPad; a one-on-one approach to learning in the classroom.
"The most important thing that schools can do is not to use technology in the curriculum more, but to use it more effectively." -Unknown
