  • Face Mask Update

In keeping with recently updated COVID-19 mitigation guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Pennsylvania Department of Health (PA DOH), Derry Township School District will be revising its current requirements regarding the wearing of universal face coverings. The district will lift the current requirements for wearing face coverings in conjunction with the relaxation of state requirements. Governor Tom Wolf has indicated mask mandates for all Pennsylvanians will be lifted when 70% of adult Pennsylvanians are vaccinated against COVID-19 or June 28, whichever comes first. Public health officials continue to recommend unvaccinated individuals wear face masks that cover the nose and mouth; but the wearing of masks will no longer be mandatory when the state restrictions ease.
